Review: Top Paddock

12:40 pm

Another blisteringly cold Melbourne weekend, this time the sun shone for a few hours in the early morning to energise us enough to pop over to Top Paddock at 10am for some breakfast. Even this early, there was still a 15 minute wait.

Starting the day off with some freshly squeezed orange juice, lots of vitamin C to boost the immunity, and plenty of natural orange sweetness, medium pulp level, a thumbs up for the juice.

I ordered the gorgeous, almost art piece like blueberry and ricotta hotcake with berries, organic maple syrup, seeds and double cream. Soft and fluffy inside, with a slightly crispy outside, soaked with maple syrup

Mr Curious had the Rangers Valley Wagyu steak sandwich with beetroot relish, tempura vegetables, fresh horseradish and wasabi leaves. The steak was tender and done well, with the tempura light and crispy, giving a lovely balance in textures. The beetroot relish was another twist in flavours, that paired well with everything.

This post is more food porn that anything, Top Paddock delivers on quality and consistency each time we dine here, so just drool over the food pics and make your way down there early!
